Principles of Web Design Planning a Site For teachers, clubs, organizations, and athletic groups who may wish to create a web site: One option is to give information and pictures to the Campus Webmaster and have the Technology Applications Independent Study class assemble a page/site for you. If you create a site on your own, it must adhere to district web policy. (See the links below.) Also, it should blend with the the color scheme already established for the B'wood site. Be aware of the rules on posting pictures of students, and making sure each student has a "yes" media agreement signed and on file. Students names may not be posted with their pictures. We must own the software that has the graphics you insert, and these require a comment in the HTML code. (So don't try harvesting graphics from the Internet and using them, unless you have permission. Sorry, but we must watch out for any legal complications. Don't use graphics like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo and alter it for your use. This does not fall under Fair Use. If you want to pass information on the Webmaster to post, the best way is to email it in a Word or Excel file as an attachment. Digital graphics may be attached to email as well, preferably in a GIF of JPG format. Questions? Email us! District Web Site
Rules and
Requirements Permission slips must be signed and delivered to the campus webmaster for all photographs or art work by students or staff members before posting to the BISD Internet site. Check out the clipart standards before you start putting in graphics. **I have received permission to use graphics from the following sites, if we give them credit**
