Copyright Law
If any copyright notice exists on a clip art package, software bundle or web site page, it is a good idea to read it carefully. Although clip art seems “free”, and is often legitimate to use without paying for it, some clip art resources have restrictions on their libraries.

Recognizing the source of the clip art within your work, paying for a clip art package, or asking specific permission from the artist or company is suggested. If you use clip art for a product or business promotion, further acknowledgment or payments may need to be made. Copyright infringement is a criminal offense.
