First, read this CNN Article on the Impact of the Internet on Modern Life: http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/internet/06/23/evolution.main/index.html One requirement of this class is that you need to analyze the impact of the Internet in a variety of ways. One way is through interviews. You may interview a teacher or parent; not another student. Below are some suggested questions to ask, but think of some questions on your own. Answers must be much more than just yes and no. If his or her answers are too short, you will have to interview someone else who has something more to say about using the Internet! (Turn in one good interview, with a person who gives much more than Yes and No answers on 5 or more good questions.) Before conducting the interview, type
your questions (now!), and leave space between them to write the person’s answers. Put
your heading at the top. Below that, create blanks for the name and
signature of the person you
interview. Also, include a place for them to write their email address or
phone number. Print 1-2 copies of the questions, and use one for the interview.
Save this file as interview to your assignments folder.
The following are some suggestions for questions and format: Interviewee Name ___________________________
Relationship ___________
Due: 9/19/07 for A day and 9/20/07 for B day classes. (I recommend turning them in next Monday/Tuesday since it is Homecoming week.) You will be using your interview and other sources to complete another assignment, so remember that good responses you get are going to help you. What to Turn in: Interview
questions and answers, interviewee's name and the date of the interview. Have
interviewee sign this paper and write in their email address or phone number. I would like to have the questions typed, and
neatly handwritten answers below the questions. I don't want the questions
on one page and the answers on another. If you run out of room, you may
continue on the back, clearly stating which question it is continued from. |
